Locally known as Gasper Dias, Miramar is one of the tranquil beach in Goa. It is nestled -km ahead of the confluence of the Arabian Sea and Mandovi River. The beach is considered as the State's popular recreational centers and as such it counts highest number of foreign tourist, particularly in the evening hours.

Miramar beach in Goa is an ideal location for an evening walk. The beach faces the strong undercurrent and therefore, it is not a safe site for swimming. This silvery sand bed stretches over 2 km and offers a panoramic view of the Aguada fort, situated just across the Mandovi River. Adventure lovers, visit the beach to know about the National Institute of Water sports, located at the base of the Cabo Raj Bhavan hillock.

Further, visitors can also enjoy the view of fishermen manage their fresh catch and at times, catch-hold of the festive aura of the Konkanis, residing here.

How to reach Miramar Beach
By Air
Dabolim Airport is the nearest aerodrome to Miramar. Pre-paid taxis are available outside the airport and travelers can hire them at fixed tariff.

By Rail
Karmali Station is just 19km from Miramar. On reaching, visitors can hire pre-paid taxis to reach the beach. Kadamba bus is available for tourist arriving on the Konkan Kanya Express.

By Road
The roadways from Panaji follows the waterfront Dayanand Bandodkar Road to the Mandovi and continues straight to Miramar. Buses operates at a regular interval from the Panaji Bus Stand.
