Bogmalo
is broad, flat and open beach that lie close to the port city of Vasco. It
is ideal for picnickers. Though popular, it is less heavily frequented among
the prominent beaches of Goa, the beach is ideal for picnickers. Also, known
as the fishing village, Bogmalo is beautified with a tiny-whitewashed Chapel
and clusters of beach shacks scattered under the coconut palms.Bogmalo is provided with lifeguard and safe for swimming. It offers a comprehensive water sports experience, which can be compared with the activities in other famous beaches in Goa.
Issorcim Beach
This beach is one of the popular fishing site in Goa. Visitors may not find any place of accommodation but their day trip may offer sitting space and eating joints at Copacabana Bar and Restaurant, located at the end of the road to Hollant. The beach is treasured with coral plates, which are found no where exxcept in Grande Island. Apart form observing the school of fishes and colorful coral reefs, visitors can go on a trek from Bogmalo to Hollant and feast their eyes with the superb view of the Mobor Coast.
Sao Jacinto Island
This tiny island treasures some beautiful old houses and a picturesque chapel. It pave the path to a lookout point that dates back to Kadamba period lighthouse. The island has a village which shimmers with having ancient spring, used by villagers for their household purposes.
Chicalim
The islet of Chicalim is situated further up the road towards Vasco from San Jacinto Island. It is locally called as San Antonio and is believe to carry the juicy clams from the shallow waters. At low tide, thousands of Goanese visit the place to collect 'teesria'(clams), which are used in preparing the delectable coconut milk curry.
Water-Sports
The world famous Goa Diving Institute is the pride of Bogmalo. It offers casual diving as well as open water courses, which aids trainees to try out the certified adventure any where in the world. Diving is organized at half a dozen sites around Grande Island, including a 20th century shipwreck.
Eating at Bogmalo
Special sea foods like tiger prawns, lobsters etc are spread out in the dining court of Full Moon Kneipe, situated outside Bogmalo Beach Resort and D'Mello's at Coconut Creek Resort. They also offers Goan, Italian and English food at cheap rate. Other likely eating joints are Jaipur Palace and Captain's Cabin Bar at Raj Resort.
Place of accommodation in Bogmalo Beach
As this is primarily a package tour destination, walk in accommodation is very limited and best booked ahead. There are few luxurious option present over here, overlooking the beach. Bogmalo Beach Resort, Coconut Creek Resort and Raj Resorts are such place of stay. Bogmalo's other mid range guest houses like Joet's Guest House, Sarita Guest House are much more offers comfort for short stay purposes.

An ideal time to visit Bogmalo beach is anytime between November to March.

By Air:
Dabolim Airport, located 4 km away is the nearest airport to Bogmalo beach. Pre-paid taxis are available on the premises, which aids visitors reach the beach destination.
By Rail:
Vasco is just 10 km from Bogmalo and so do the Vasco Station. Another option is to collect train information operating t and from Madgaon Station, situated 27 km away.
By Road:
Goa Transport and private buses departing from Panaji helps tourist explore the beach side in short span of time.
