Goa's
northernmost beach, Arambol have strong connection with Goa's hippie, which
dates back with the arrival of first tourist to the state, in the late
1960s. Today, the beach is one of the favorite spot for ravers and
backpackers from European countries. This unspoilt paradise on the Earth is
now explored as a place for yoga and meditation by tourist from all across
the world. The beach at Arambol is known for its unpredictable undertow and as such swimming is strictly restricted. Visitors can spend good time with engaging themselves in sightseeing, eating, night entertainment and adventure sports guided by the Water-sports club in Arambol.
Paliem Beach and Lake
The Paliem beach is the most stunning feature in Arambol. This tiny stretch is at the foot of the Wadhcolomb Hill and offers cool breeze, all through out the day. Beach lovers, visiting here can also take a dip into the freshwater lake, situated 200 m from the sea.
Keri Beach
A 10 km long walk from Arambol meanders over the hillside, ends up with reaching the casuarina-fringed Keri Beach. As such there is no such attractions on the beach, except a few beach shacks and the Gangaram Guest House. It is bounded by the Tiracol River on the north and picnicking is the only beach activity here.
Adventure Water sports
Like the many adventure beach destinations in Goa, Arambol also provides a dozen of water-sports to its visitors. Phil's Surf Club, located on the beach offers the adventure of windsurfing, speed-boat sailing and kitty buggy rides. Enthusiast can also have fun with undertaking the dolphin-spotting trip out here.
Another popular Arambol Paragliding School offers para gliding from the top of Wa ghcolomb Hill over the freshwater lake. The school also provides the opportunity to kite-surfing, at reasonable cost.
Nightlife
The beeline beach shacks and food-stalls in Arambol offers a pulsating nightlife. Loekie Cafe, situated on the coastal road is a popular cocktail bar. Night parties are also thrown in shacks like Mango Tree, Babylon etc.
Eating at Arambol
Arambol has some excellent bakery shops and fine eating centers. Where Double Dutch offers sweet baked foods, there are some popular restaurants like Little Italy, Eyes of Buddha, Oasis, Relax Inn, 21 Coconut and Outrigger, which offers an eclectic menu, covering both Italian cuisines and great seafood.
Tiracol Fort
Situated to the North of Arambol, Tiracol Fort is one of the northernmost outpost in Goa. The interior complex of the fort has the Chapel of St.Anthony, which is open for foreign tourist. The fort has been converted into a hotel and afford a spectacular view of the river and the sea.

How to reach Arambol Beach
By Air:
Dabolim Airport is 60 km away from Arambol. On reaching, visitors can hire pre-paid taxis and reach the beach destination.
By Rail:
The nearest Pernem Station is 28 km away from Arambol. Buses operate from Panaji, Mapusa and Pernem every hour to Arambol Junction. A 10 min walk from the junction help visitors reach the beach.
By Road:
NH17 across the Mandovi to Mapusa follows Chopdem, 12 km from Arambol. The road leads all the way to Mandrem Village, which is 5 km short of Arambol.
