Delectable cuisines like Egg toast, Parantha, Tea, Coffee, Roti and Rice are served here at simple fare. Eatables are also available in a few dhabas and snacks shops in the main market
Cutbert Bay, Rangat
The
beautiful Cutbert Bay is situated 54 kms from Mayabunder and has something
in store for any kind of visitors. Motorist traveling here find the Tourism
Department Guest house and a couple of teashops, while anglers finds the way
to the nearby fishermen village. Besides, a long beach walk here is worthy
enough, where swimmers can have an occasional dip and satisfy their thirst.
The bay is also a traditional nestling site for turtles. Its has been
discovered that Mother Turtles, during the moonless dark night come to the
beach and lay their eggs. The eggs are usually under threat from dogs and
humans and as such people from the Turtle hatchery, located on the bank are
quick to collect them. Visitors can peep into this exclusive time,

Till date, Mayabunder beach has no resorts and visitors staying option lies in booking comfortable rooms in APWD Guesthouse, situated atop a cliff right on the sea. Another reasonable place is the Anmol Guest house near the main market. Both the guest houses are developed with clean and spacious lawn, which provides the breath-taking views of the sea. Besides, visitors can move to Hawksbill Nest, situated towards the South of Mayabunder, on the Andaman Trunk Road, in the Middle Andaman and can find staying rooms in the guest house, run by the Tourism Department in Andaman and Nicobar Island.

How to reach Mayabunder
By Road
Mayabunder is connected to Poirt Blair by Andaman Trunk Road (ATR) and also covers the nearby Barantang and Rangat. The daily State Transport buses operate to and from the main bus stand near Aberdeen Bazaar and the travel time is about 9 hours.
